Stereoscopic baseball challenge
Baseball 0D
A compact baseball game about timing, depth, phone-swing experiments, and chasing the kind of hit that feels perfect before it lands.
The Idea
I originally created this game to amuse myself. As a longtime fan of Major League Baseball, I've played the sport for years and enjoyed many baseball-related video games. The inspiration for this project came when I played MLB: The Show and found it incredible. One feature I wished to add was a stereoscopic 3D view to better judge the ball's depth. Eventually, I discovered a method to achieve this, which I implemented in Baseball 0D.
Tips & Fun Facts
- 3D Vision Mastery: For players who wear glasses for near-sightedness, it is better to play in 3D mode without them.
- Rewards: Run: 100, Intruder: 1,000, Board: 5,000, Eagle: 10,000.
- Intruder Shows Up: After 200 pitches and before 350 pitches.
- Why 0D: There is a phone-swing mode where you hit an imaginary ball. It unlocks when AVG meets the criteria after 10,000 pitches.
- Phone Swing Rewards: Rewards are delivered based on yardage. For example, 362 yd = 362 points.
- Anti-fatigue: If the pitcher gets tired and throws more balls, it might be time for him to rest, and the same goes for you and your phone.
